Our Story

In 2004, Dustin Zeitler, a commercial pilot and certified aircraft mechanic, transitioned from professional flying to launching RealClean Aircraft Detailing, recognizing the pressing demand for top-notch aircraft detailing services in aviation. Starting with foundational services like aircraft washing, interior cleaning, and metal polishing, RealClean began to emerge under Dustin’s dedicated leadership.

From its modest beginnings, RealClean was more than a business; it was a testament to a belief in offering services that are delivered exceptionally well. This commitment to excellence soon attracted the first member of the RealClean family, Eric Stevenson. Together, Dustin and Eric, a duo fueled by passion and precision, began refining aircraft detailing techniques, and developing innovative processes that significantly enhanced the business’s capabilities. Their pursuit allowed RealClean to expand its service offerings and cater to numerous airports and a growing fleet of aircraft.

However, they soon identified a critical gap in the market: the absence of specialized aircraft cleaning products. In response, 2010 marked the inception of RealClean Aviation Products, spearheaded by Dustin, and fueled by his and Eric’s hands-on industry knowledge. The venture debuted with the “Real Shine De-ice Boot Sealant” and has since evolved into a comprehensive line of expertly designed aircraft cleaning products, widely used globally by both aviation professionals and enthusiasts.

Beyond business expansion, Dustin and Eric’s vision extended to training and mentorship. They shared their extensive aircraft detailing knowledge by offering training courses, fostering a global network of professionals skilled in both the technical and business aspects of aircraft care. Eric’s expertise and dedication to nurturing talent became pivotal in elevating RealClean’s standing as an industry leader. Together, their combined contributions of innovation and mentorship have significantly shaped the company’s trajectory and reputation.

The business’s growth took another leap forward in 2019 with the addition of Lucas Goucher as a co-owner. Lucas, a long-time friend and business associate of Dustin, brought a robust financial background and a shared entrepreneurial zeal. With his strong background in finance and real estate, Lucas infused new vigor into the business, and helped usher its expansion across the Midwest and beyond. Under his co-leadership, RealClean has evolved into a beacon in the aviation industry, offering an unparalleled range of services and products.
